This short documentary explores the childhoods and subsequent adulthoods of three diverse survivors of childhood spanking. Through intimate interviews and compelling animation, each participant’s journey is authentically presented. Spare the Child creates an immediate and empathetic bond with the viewer, in order to reveal the lifelong impact that spanking has on the human body, heart and psyche. 

The film is being screened nationally and internationally with organizations such as Prevent Child Abuse America and the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a tool to facilitate conversations about spanking prevention.
